The chapel of San José in Riocorvo (Cartes) is a small stone chapel sandwiched between two private houses. Its entrance door is on the main façade, which is just the one that faces the street and is adorned with a semicircular arch with voussoirs and topped by a triangular pediment with a niche that shelters a figure of Jesus Christ and a belfry in which the date of its construction can be read: «YEAR 1804». It was ordered to be built by José and Fernando Vélez de Cossío as a private chapel, in fact, from the adjoining house there was direct access to the choir, later it was donated to the town.
