The Joseph Zeche in Holzwickede-Opherdicke was a mine that operated in two phases: the first in the 19th century west of Holzwickeder Straße and the second in the 20th century east of this street. The later small mine was opened by Antonius Breckweg in 1951, and Heinrich Dickerhoff later took over the operation, which was closed in 1957. The mine was known for mining hard coal, achieved a maximum annual output of 5,730 tons and employed up to 37 people.
