The Solmsbach rises in the eastern Hintertaunus. Its source is in the Taunus Nature Park on the southern outskirts of Espa, a district of the municipality of Langgöns, at around 430 m above sea level. NN. The Solmsbach naturally meanders through the municipal area of the town of Braunfels between the districts of Neukirchen and Bonbaden.
