Excellent car-free lane now that there are LTN bollards in place. Surface has already become littered with general debris (branches, sap, gravel) etc. so may be a little sketchy in the Winter perhaps.

Road cycling

Fine in winter but best in spring. A nice little reprieve after climbing one of the nasty hills round here before heading back into Bristol or the Chew Valley.

Alternatively a gateway to one of my favourite spring/autumn rides, Pensford to Stantonbury Hill via Burnett.

Did that ride once in winter and had to stop while a nice farmer scraped ice from the road.
