The Alamo Canyon trail leads around the northern side of the Roundup Ground mountain. If you are hiking the Alamo Canyon Trail and Roundup Ground Trail loop you should start on the Alamo Canyon side. This is because there are some very steep rocky sections that are easier to tackle when coming downhill.
