If you dare, you can descend here over a very steep and narrow staircase to the old pier. However, you have to climb over a wall.
The steps were made of large blocks of lime, which lead in a large arc over the rather rugged rock. Once at the bottom, you reach a small rock cave on the left hand side and an old shelter at the landing just above the water on the right hand side.
The place is not suitable for swimming.
Please only climb down here, who is absolutely free from giddiness and sure-footed, because there is no railing and the steps are very narrow!

It was too windy for us to go down the steep steps. The Mistral has whistled quite nicely.

On the Cape Pointe des Salis are the ruins of the old lighthouse Phare d'Escampo-Barriou, as well as the remains of a dilapidated military facility. In the large wall there are numerous bullet holes.
