Locals come here too. This side of the lake is relatively quiet compared to eastside. We came on a Sunday evening so probably more locals around than in weekdays. Some small shops that sell food. Swimming possible. Also toilet nearby. Area where elephants can cross the road, we didn't see any.

beautiful place to camp with toilet and a family at the entrance to the lake can cook for you, for not too much money and it is very good
