Lichtenvoorde is located in the Dutch province of Achterhoek, a stone's throw from the German Bocholt. Every year in September, the world 's largest Dalien flower parade takes place there. Many oversized flower carts compete against each other in the beauty contest, and the small town becomes a real crowd puller on that September weekend.
