Great tip. Thank you! Beautiful area and nice steep walls that form the valley. Here you will find beautiful ascents and descents.

Always a nice experience! ... even the side valleys go up, there are also small streams!

The Eifgenbachtal is a wonderful area for hiking.

Great nature on an enchanted stream. But there is also a lot to discover on the Eifgenbach. Remains of former mills, the weir of the former Burscheider dam and much more.

Here, nature is still what it should be. It is growing. The great waterways can also be found away from the main water. I can only recommend that everyone take a look around the area.

For me, Eifgenbach is one of the most beautiful streams that you can comfortably hike along. There is something new to discover around every bend.

At the moment everything in the Eifgenbachtal is a fresh green, almost all the bridges have been repaired after the flood last year and where there is no new bridge yet, there is a tree a few meters away that you can use to cross the stream. I did it yesterday😊
A really great hiking area and there isn't much going on there during the week.

At the Eifgenbach there is still "pure nature".

Great paths through the forest but also past meadows.

"... The Eifgenbach rises on the Rattenberg in Wermelskirchen on the city border with Remscheid, encompasses the Wermelskirchen main town to the south and flows through a natural valley in a southwesterly direction. In the lower reaches it forms the border with Burscheid. Within sight of the Altenberg Cathedral in Odenthal, the Eifgenbach flows into the Dhünn. ..."

Hiking in the area is great, but I prefer analog with a map. The app was overwhelmed..

The tour is currently difficult to complete due to the many fallen trees. The path to the left after the descent from the Thomashof is critical. It is therefore better to choose a different tour, namely the complete descent including the stream crossing and then turning left. The meter measurements for the descent and ascent of 180 meters each are not realistic. My Garmin watch indicates a total of 270 meters for the ascent. It is advisable to take hiking poles with you, especially if the ground is wet and slippery. The landscape of the tour is very beautiful and varied.
