Gutshaus Kastorf
Kastorf, near the lake of the same name, is located northwest of Neubrandenburg. At the beginning of the 15th century, the Maltzan family acquired the estate. 1618 it goes to Vollrath Pleen and 1649 the Swedish crown Hans Joachim Maltzan invested in the estate.
This is followed in 1740 by Kalden family, 1770 by Burkersroda, 1775 by Moltke, 1841 by the Holz family and 1881 by the Baessler family. In 1896, the goods address book for Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Mecklenburg-Strelitz indicates the estate of the Baron von Brockdorff with 1,037.7 ha. Last owner until 1945 was a Schulz family.
