Temenica is a low-flowing river in the valley, which rises twice before reaching its mouth. The river originates on the southern slopes of the Posavina Hills near the settlement of Javorje. It first sprouts in the village of Grm in several sinkholes. It comes to light in the Mirnopeška valley under the hill of Sveta Ana in the spring of Zijalo. The river flows along the Mirnopeška valley to the sinkholes near Goriška village, where it disappears below the surface for the second time. The third, last source of Temenica is in Luknja pri Prečna. It flows across Zaloška polje and flows into the Krka as a left tributary (also called Prečna).
