El Puerto de la Escaleruela is a very narrow and steep descent, over which the Camino Mozárabe runs. In a good section of the descent, there is an old pavement made with concrete and stones that allows this narrow passage to withstand the passage of time. The view of the city of Antequera and the entire valley is spectacular.

Mountain biking

If you are going to lower it onto the bike you will need good technical skills and a bike with at least front suspension. There are some very steep steps. Cobble and concrete pavement can be slippery in rainy or dewy conditions. You have to be very careful, since the area is also difficult to access in case you need help.
