The old Bockbacher Weg runs parallel to the paved road. It is the much more exciting, but also a little more demanding path, because it is quite narrow and steep in places.

I took this picture from the "old Bockbach Weg". It shows the B198 in the direction of Warth. The view is possible because in winter an avalanche pushed the birch trees there into the valley and the trunks protrude almost horizontally from the slope.
