From the parish church of Pognana Lario, a mule track leads to the church of San Rocco; this mule track is flanked by chapels of the Via Crucis, decorated with mosaics, built during the twentieth century and ends with an arch which leads to the churchyard in a panoramic position.
The church has a facade built in Baroque style during the eighteenth century: it is the only external part plastered, the rest is in exposed stones; the bell tower rises along the right side.
