Sculpture is remarkable in these gardens, both for its quality and its beauty. Presiding over the rose garden is Estival, by Jaume Otero (1929), a seated female figure, in Art Deco style made of marble.

Also present is La noia de la trena, by Josep Viladomat (1928), another female nude, in this case in bronze, which represents a young girl gathering her hair into a braid. The third sculpture also represents a woman and its author is also Josep Viladomat, who made it based on an original by Manolo Hugué. This is Repòs (1925), a life-size female nude made of stone located in a small square very close to the entrance next to the Joan Miró Foundation.

Near the rose garden there is a glazed ceramic fountain with marine motifs, crowned by a spout, the work of the ceramicist Llorens Artigas. In the garden is the famous Font del Gat, very popular in the city at the end of the 19th century. Water flows from the head of a feline, sculpted by Joan Antoni Homs in 1918.

This is a great park to run in, a lot of loose gravel exists in the park. Save your nice road running shoes and wear some that you don't mind getting a bit dirty.
