Atop Buck Mountain is an old lookout tower. The tower, itself, is no longer in use, but you can use the cement base of the tower to get a few feet higher to get a view from the mountain's peak. Whether you parked at Lake Mary Road or drove further up the Forest Service road, it's all downhill to the car from here.
