Tips
Between Elbasan and Tirana are only connected by the highway and SH3. The SH3 leads over an 800m high mountain range. Serpentines uphill at km 15. Very wide view down into the Elbasan Valley with its industry and the many plastic greenhouses. The SH3 leads through wonderfully beautiful countryside. Very little traffic and little population. Every now and then you have to rescue a Greek tortoise that thinks it can get across the asphalt unscathed given the low traffic density. However, cracked tanks with crushed contents show that even in light traffic the saying applies: in the wrong place at the wrong time.
