Before 1849, the "Bagatelle" house was demolished and then rebuilt as a residential and wash house. In 1938 the castle property including the bagatelle became the property of the castle association, which sold this house to the city of Ahrensburg in 1982.

In 1995, J. Stahmer, chairman of the Bürgerverein von 1874 e.V., acquired it. After renovation work over the years, the rooms were used for meetings of the handicraft group, the skat group, afternoon games of the association, the senior Christmas parties, the Easter egg bagging, the thank-you meal for the Helpers in the renovation, lectures, renting the rooms to our members for private parties.
