While you can explore the outdoor area of the glass museum, the glass gardens of Frauenau, without admission as part of a short walk, the indoor area requires an admission of € 5 (Sunday rate € 1) and a little more time. In the glass gardens there are some mostly quite large modern sculptures including a second glass ark (the first glass ark is one of the top highlights in the forest below the Lusen), inside a tour leads first past historical exhibits back to the Romans to a large one Collection of modern glass art.
If you don't want to hike through Frauenau, a short stop while driving through to visit the glass gardens is a good idea - they are right on the main street, the glass museum is also a tourist information center with free parking, the bus stops at the edge of the site and the train station is also just a few steps away.
