At around a 2 mile portage from the car parking area, this lake is easily accessible for canoeists. This lake connects to the Moose River, which then flows on to other lakes in the BWCAW, making it a great first stop for multi-day canoe tours.

There is a campsite along the shores of the lake at the end of the Big Moose Trail.
