This impressive castle is dramatically situated on a cliff top overlooking the river Funshion. It was built in the 13th century by the de Cauntetons/Condons before being passed on to the Roche family sometime in the 14th century. It remained their hands until the 17th century until it was confiscated by the Cromwellians in the mid 17th century.
