In the 15th century, this special extension with a bay window was the seat of the reader in the dining room of the monastery.
During the meals, the Constitution, Rule of the House or the Holy Scriptures were read.
The bay window has three stained glass windows. In the three round medallions below the windows are the initials of Mary, Christ and John.
At the bottom of the bay window is a so-called corbel (bearing stone) in which the year 1554 is written in Roman numerals.
