    Road cycling

From the roadside you can see the ruins of Ballymoon Castle. It is thought the castle began to be built in the 13th century by either the Carers or the Bigod Earl of Norfolk and was never completed. The ruins are vast and comprise a 37m curtain wall which is 6m high surrounding a central court. A serious endeavour considering it was never finished!
