In 1978 Dr. Martin Wolfer the already badly neglected building. Together with his wife he restored and revitalized the castle. It still serves as the family's summer home today. The building is largely set up as a palace museum and shows the lifestyle of the nobility in the 19th century. It also houses a local history museum.
