The wet biotopes of the nature reserve Verdener Moor and Sehlinger Heide (Gustav-Welge-Teiche) are the main work area of the NABU Group in the Geest municipality of Kirchlinteln. Due to the partial drying out of moor areas, birch and pine trees are constantly growing, which the group removes in regular work assignments. As a result, many amphibian species that have become rare - in addition to other animals - are given a habitat.
