The viaduct of Hartenrod (the so-called Schlierbach Bridge) was built in 1899-1901 according to plans of the railway construction and works inspectors Hentzen and Pietig for the Aar-Salzböde-Bahn (Niederwalgern - Herborn). Slightly curved, the construction of sandstone and diabase, consisting of nine arches measuring 150 m in length and 13 m in height, crosses the valley of the Schlierbach stream before it joins the salt plains. Similar to the viaduct of Endbach built at the same time, there are four round-arched recesses above the pillars. The viaduct was used for 100 years for rail traffic and is now without traffic. It is a listed building.
