The Gasselhöhle is the most tropfsteinreichste cave of the northern Kalkalpen. Guided tours only take place at the weekend. One of the most beautiful and original show caves I have ever visited. Details under

From the "bus terminal" it is still about 30 minutes to Gasselhütte with the cave (from the parking lot at Ebensee about 2.5 hours). And the last climb has something in it! Steep, large stones, roots and the last 100 meters were then also a bit exposed, halfway dizziness you should already be there. (That would be an advantage in the cave too). Also the appropriate condition and sturdy shoes should be brought along.

The cave itself is really impressive! In the 50 minute tour you will learn a lot about the origin of the cave and see beautiful stalactite formations. The cave is definitely an absolute top recommendation! And a nice adventure ....
