    Hiking

Travelling all the way from the mountains of North Cork, the River Feale passes by Listowel on its way to the sea near Ballybunion. It is famous for salmon fishing. Legend has it that the river is named after a princess named Fial. While bathing in the river she spotted someone watching her so made her way further into the water to protect her modesty. She had no idea this person was her husband and had tragically gone so deep into the river that she drowned.
