Schneider-Bräu Zur Kanne

The brewery was moved here from the neighboring property in 1897. Today, the brewery pub "Zur Kanne" is an insider tip. For me, the most interesting piece of information from another innkeeper was that the owner, Thomas Schneider, now brews his beer in the "Bayrischen Bahnhof" in Leipzig. As an "old Leipziger," I naturally appreciate the beer brewed there.
I found the following on Wikipedia: "... In 1999, brewery owner Thomas Schneider, together with Deutsche Bahn AG, announced that he was planning to "thoroughly renovate the complex in the Bavarian Bahnhof in Leipzig and set up a brewery in the historic premises." After around 14 months, the restaurant and the brewery inside were opened on July 19, 2000. Among other things, Gose beer is brewed there..."
So the recommendation is to visit both inns.

Weißenburg simply has an incredible amount of tradition and craftsmanship to discover in the old town centre.
