South of the hustle and bustle of tourists, this lighthouse stands on the dike not far from Ording. It can be easily reached on foot or by bike via the dike. A bench in front of the tower invites you to linger and there is a refuge about 20 meters away! A bronze plaque on the lighthouse reveals interesting information. Unfortunately, the tower is not accessible and there are no guided tours. ;-(

The Böhler lighthouse, completed in 1892, is a listed building and today serves as a cross-fire for the Eiderfahrwasser. Until 1914 the beacon of Sankt Peter was exclusively a day sight. The 18.4 meter high round brick tower is the landmark of the district St. Peter Böhl and can be reached by bike or on foot very well over the dike.
