The Meeschehaken lookout tower stands above the steep bank of the Trave near the Stülper Huk and has become an attraction on the Dummersdorfer Ufer.
From the tower you have a very good view of the Trave with its boat and ship traffic, of the opposite cows with their wooded steep banks and of the nature reserve itself. Above all, there is an excellent opportunity to watch the bird migration along the Trave valley.
The varied landscape with its hills and brook valleys, its open areas delimited with kinks and closed wooded areas, criss-crossed with a network of hiking trails, and above all the steep banks with the beaches of the Trave in front of them offer the very best conditions for nature-related relaxation. The tower rests on four concrete foundations and has a total height of around seven meters. The viewing platform is three by three meters in size and is around four meters above ground level. The observation tower is covered for reasons of weather protection. It is made of certified oak from the Lübeck city forests.luebeck.de/de/presse/pressemmeldung/view/123683
