Cycling
The tour starts from Vo' Vecchio and reaches the hermitage of Sant'Antonio, halfway up Monte Grande. After Teolo, you follow Via Trespole, with climbs of up to 22%. Higher up, you leave your bike and continue on foot along a trail with difficult but well-equipped sections.
Arriving at the hermitage, the view of the small monastery is stunning, and you wonder how the friars collected bread and groceries from the village every day. It's all made of trachyte, the local volcanic rock.
A water source was located near the hermitage in a cave or cave.
