Risin and Kellingin can be seen from many different angles in the Northern Faroes. In fact, it could be different to miss these sea stacks while in these parts of the islands.
You can see them from Tjörnuvik, from the road when driving from Gjogv to Eidi, and also from the Kallur lighthouse on Kalsoy. They are interesting formations, and there is an interesting story to them. Scenery was truly spectacular.

Risin & Kellingin, The Giant and the Witch. Stone stacks protruding from the sea. Folklore tells the Giant and the his wife a witch were sent by an Icelandic chief to pull the Faroes closer to Iceland. Too preoccupied by their task they failed to notice the sun rising and were turned to stone.
