Hiking
Disused sand pit, now a nature reserve. Entered from 1.3. until 31.7. only allowed on the paths.
During sand mining, three nutrient-poor, shallow bodies of water developed. Seven different amphibian species settled in and around the sand pit. These include the more common species such as edible frogs, common toads and smooth newts. You can also find crested newts, tree frogs, spadefoot toads and the rare natterjack toad, which prefers sandy habitats.
