Rocchette-Arsiero Railway Path (Strada del Vecchio Trenino)

The Strada del Vecchio Trenino (called in countless other variants) is a very pleasant and easy 10km cycle-pedestrian route (one way) on a wide dirt road, which retraces the section of the former Rocchette-Arsiero railway.At the end of the 19th century, the industrialist and future senator Alessandro Rossi promoted and carried out a series of modernizations and infrastructures for his own important textile factories, including the Torrebelvicino-Schio-Santorso-Piovene-Rocchette-Arsiero link railway. Inaugurated in 1885, it was later modernized in 1933, decommissioned in 1964 and dismantled in the 1970s.Along the way, you come across numerous testimonies of the old railway: suggestive tunnels, former stations, bridges, underpasses and the classic modular concrete fences.
