The church of the Cal Ponç neighborhood, dedicated to San Josep, is a neo-Gothic religious building, whose construction began in 1886 and was consecrated in 1887.

It was built during the initial stage of the colony, at the same time as the two towers, the factory and the workers' houses. It was known as "the cathedral of l'Alt Llobregat", and received the relics of Santa Aurèlia de Niça.
