Unfortunately, the cafe 'Cafe zur Ludwigslust' that used to be there is permanently closed. The cakes and Schäufele (a local roast pork dish) were highly recommended there. However, the beautifully restored lock is still great as a resting place and photo motif.

Since 2011, the cozy café "Zur Ludwigslust" has been located in one of the old lock keeper's cottages on the Ludwig-Danube Canal. Here you can take a little break with a wonderful view of the canal and have a little something to eat.
The café is open on Sundays and public holidays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. In the months of November, December and April the café is completely closed.
