Um Qais is a historic city in northern Jordan, perched on a hilltop overlooking the Jordan River Bank and the Sea of Galilee. The city was originally known as Gadara and was one of the ten Greek cities of the Decapolis, a group of cities ruled by the Romans. Several historical buildings can be found in Um Qais.
