The Maspalomas Dunes (Spanish: Dunas de Maspalomas) are sand dunes on the southern coast of the island of Gran Canaria in the province of Las Palmas in the Canary Islands. The 404 hectare area of the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana has been protected as a nature reserve since 1. They were among the contenders for the 1987 Treasures of Spain competition.
They were formed by sand from the now subdued sea shelf when it was drained during the last ice age and the wind blew the sand towards the island's coast.
