The Roßmarkt is a square in downtown Frankfurt am Main. The Kaiserstrasse leads into the Roßmarkt from the south-west, the Große Gallusstrasse from the west and the Strasse Am Salzhaus from the south-east. To the north, the Roßmarkt merges into the Goetheplatz, at the eastern end into the square An der Hauptwache. The Katharinenpforte also branches off here. St. Catherine's Church, built between 1678 and 1681 and now the city's main Protestant church, dominates this part of the square, while the Johannes Gutenberg Monument dominates to the west.
