Before arriving in Terracina, turn to Campo Soriano and then go towards the Church of San Salviano. From here begins a very demanding climb with an average gradient of 10% (4 km for 400 meters of total ascent). Some traits exceed 15% with peaks up to 18%. At the top of Punta Leano we find a statue of the homonymous Madonna that stands out about 30 meters from the ground. From there you can enjoy a breathtaking view. The Gulf of Terracina to the Circeo Promontory and on the other side to the Gulf of Gaeta.

This section is quite challenging. It's not marked, so you need to be sure-footed and keep your eyes peeled. I wouldn't recommend it in summer due to the risk of vipers and wild boar.
