Tips
The ascent from Brand was very varied: forest road, bridge over a deep waterfall, hiking trail over cow pasture, short forest path, narrow path through densely overgrown meadows, past another waterfall in the direction of the Sonnenlaganthütte. The hiking trail becomes a hiking trail through another short stretch of forest and further across green and flowery alpine meadows until finally the alpine climb (Mottakopfsteig) to the summit begins. Here are a few small scree tongues and 2-3 minimal scramble passages. The last stretch to the summit is then again pleasant over a green meadow. Stunning views at the summit in all directions. Lünerseebahn, reservoir and old customs house are also clearly visible. Think of sufficient sun protection, because you walk in the blazing sun all the time! ☀️
