By chance I discovered this old Fouga Magister (built in 1955). It stands on the site of the wind tunnel of the TU Darmstadt. The Fouga was the world's first jet engine trainer. Its wings are more like those of a glider, the V-shaped tail and a tail wheel are the remains of a glider. In Germany, the Bundeswehr used this type for the first time in 1958 for pilot training for jet-powered aircraft for future G-91 R3 pilots. From May 28, 1957, this type was first manufactured under license in Germany by the Heinkel company. The Federal Air Force also operated an aerobatic team with this type of aircraft, which was dissolved after the starfighter collision over Bavaria.

It's a real eye-catcher. You don't see a machine like this every day.
