1.5 kilometers southwest of Jezerí/Eisenberg Castle is one of the most important nature reserves on the entire southern slope of the Ore Mountains. In 1969, 136 hectares of very impressive deciduous forest were placed under protection in the deep valley of Vesnický potok and on the slopes of Jezerka. Between 350 and 700 meters altitude, there is a wide range of ecological conditions. The core of the nature reserve (Národní prírodní rezervace) is an approximately 250-year-old beech stand, in which the rare wych elm can still be found. The predominant forest communities are the woodruff beech forest and the acidic grove beech forest. At the same time, one of the highest oak forests in the entire Czech Republic can be found here. It is, inter alia, dyer's broom sessile oak forest. The other forest stands of the protected area also include some spruce monocultures on the edge.
