Fleyh was a ridge village in the central Ore Mountains in Bohemia, which was first mentioned in 1346. It got its name from the river Fleyh (Saxon: Flöha). The population worked for a long time with the treatment and processing of wood. A raft ditch was built as far as Claussnitz in Saxony, where it flows into the Freiberger Mulde. Wood was transported from Fleyh to Freiberg in the ditch.
The wooden church of John the Baptist from the 17th century and the statue from the 15th century in it were moved to Georgendorf (Český Jiřetín) around 1958 because of the construction of a dam, which had to make way for the entire town of Fleyh except for one house. relocated.
