Approximately 8 hectares of agricultural land has been transformed into a nature compensation area. The various nature plots are connected by the Kaweise Loop, which has also undergone a metamorphosis.

The watercourse is given a lot of space to meander at the location of the nature plots. A drainage meadow is located on the lower plot, where water can be temporarily stored during heavy rainfall. This flow meadow will eventually replace a currently existing weir.

To enable fish migration, 5 fish ladders have been constructed, 3 of which are siphon fish ladders. A swallow wall has been created in a suitable area of the Kaweise Loop. Pools have been created for amphibians, allowing the fauna to spread through the area along the watercourse. Together with nature-friendly banks and verges, an ecological connection zone has been created.
