From the 04.11.18 the ferry traffic was stopped.
Due to the construction of the Main bridge in Gemünden, the ferry service between Langenprozelten and Hofstetten was no longer necessary.
Every day, the ferry "Mittelrhein" transported 600 vehicles on average, even twice as many on peak days.

The ferry served as a replacement for the Main Bridge, which was newly built. The ride is free. The ferry runs daily from Mon - Fri 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sat from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sun from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
