The former Strasser house was built in September 1911.
The special architectural style of the stately building dates back to the first decades of the 20th century. In 1911 master rope maker Johann Baur had the house built for his family on the site. The eldest Baur daughter married the businessman Straßer in 1920. While master rope maker Baur built her own house on the same street, his daughter and her family lived in the building, which has been popularly known as the "street house" ever since.
