    Hut for bivouac also open in winter, with kitchen, stove, tables and chairs on the first floor, 7 mattresses upstairs (perhaps a little difficult to heat) and a few blankets. Panels and batteries for storage but the light didn't seem to go on. On the back there is a cistern for the accumulation of water (obviously non-potable).
    Overall a nice bivouac, if you decide to reach it in winter consult the avalanche bulletin.

      Beautiful bivouac, super equipped with various pots and pans, some cutlery and various plates, in winter remember to bring water for the various services as there will be none up there. The first floor is quite large and the stove will take a while to heat it, but you will certainly not sleep uncomfortably on the 8 beds with mattresses on the upper floor and thanks to the two large tables you can make excellent dinners. !Be careful only with the snow in the last stretches to check the track because the signs become less visible...

        The Casera Canin mountain hut is located at the foot of the Monte Canin massif at 1,450 meters above sea level, offering a splendid panoramic view of the Resia Valley. It can be reached on foot from Malga Coot in about an hour via CAI trail no. 642, or from Coritis in 2.5 hours via CAI trail no. 642, which starts just before the village.

        The welcoming structure includes a stove, table, and bench, and two bedrooms upstairs.

        A strategic point and base for various hikes in the Canin area, the trail leading to the summit of Monte Canin and the Alta Via Resiana begins from the slope east of the hut. On the west slope, an ancient trail leads to the evocative Madonna del Canin, located on a carved rock face.

        Furthermore, trail 642/a offers a panoramic view of both the valley and majestic Mount Sart in just under half an hour, with no elevation gain.

        Useful Information
        - Beds: 7-8
        - Water: Non-potable, but available depending on seasonal weather conditions
        - Kitchen: Wood-burning stove

        When using the shelter, it is important not to leave any traces of your presence, so we recommend:

        - Do not leave food easily accessible to mice and other animals;
        - Clean common areas;
        - Take all waste down to the valley.

        This shelter is always open and unmanaged; maintenance is handled by the Park Authority with the essential contribution of local volunteers and all users!
