The Artemeersmolen on the border of Poeke and Kanegem was built in 1810. It is a round stone windmill built on an artificial hill. From 1935 to 1975, a diesel engine powered the mechanical mill.

For a short period, the mill was first used as a restaurant and then as a private residence. The restoration of the mill dates from 1975-1976. From 2014, the mill was taken into operation as a supplier to bakeries, for which the grinding installation was significantly expanded.

The mill is owned by professional miller Mike Ekelschot from Poeke and can be visited on request. There is also a shop at the mill where traditionally produced flours and flour can be purchased on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
